Dr [Dear]  Sir 
You no doubt recollect a communication from me in  
april or  
1st of May forwarding Inquest and affadavit [affidavit]  in relationship to the Murder of an Infant by Jas. [James]  G. Huchingson and Aletha Fetters Alias Aletha Huchingson the woman was brot [brought]  from Charleston and bound to appear for trial at the Supr [Superior]  Court Septr [September]  Term adjourned to Decr [December]  for an accessary [accessory]  after the fact Huchingson escaped and has not been taken report says and it is believed that he has visited the County and that the same is known by some of the Civil officers of the county- I enquire whether the papers forwarded you as above stated were sufficient for you to offer a reward for the apprehension of Huchingson the communication was made in the Midst of Indian troubles and might have escaped your notice If a reward was offered the fugitive might be taken- or the officer who assists in concealing his hiding place brot [brought]  to Justice I make the enquiry only as a fellow citizen and well wisher to the Country
