Key of Dooly County, Georgia to Governor William Schley (Governor of Georgia, 1835-1837). Thomas writes that he was a volunteer in the Seminole Campaign and that he loaned his wagon and team to haul supplies for the militia. He asks the governor how he might receive payment for the use of his property. Key sent a follow-up letter to Schley regarding the same issue one month later (see tcc591).</dc:description><dc:description>Digital image and encoded transcription of an original manuscript, scanned, transcribed and encoded by the Digital Library of Georgia in 2001, as part of GALILEO, funded in part by a grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services.</dc:description><dc:format>text/html</dc:format><dc:format>image/jpeg</dc:format><dc:identifier>tcc585</dc:identifier><dc:language>eng</dc:language><dc:relation>Mode of access: World Wide Web.</dc:relation><dc:relation>System requirements: AT&amp;T DjVu browser plug-in needed to view images of documents.</dc:relation><dc:rights>http://rightsstatements.org/vocab/NoC-US/1.0/</dc:rights><dc:source>Manuscript held by the Hargrett Rare Book and Manuscript Library, The University of Georgia Libraries, Telamon Cuyler, box 50, folder 10, document 02.</dc:source><dc:subject>Seminole War, 2nd, 1835-1842</dc:subject><dc:subject>Georgia.
