Troup, Governor of Georgia (1823-1827). Torrance asks the governor for guidance on renting bridges and collecting tolls on the Federal Road. He reports seeing few improvements between the current Indian Agency and the old one, and complains that unnamed Indians and U.S. soldiers are responsible for the destruction of at least some of the sparse improvements in the area.</dc:description><dc:description>Digital image and encoded transcription of an original manuscript, scanned, transcribed and encoded by the Digital Library of Georgia in 2001, as part of GALILEO, funded in part by a grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services.</dc:description><dc:format>text/html</dc:format><dc:format>image/jpeg</dc:format><dc:identifier>tcc506</dc:identifier><dc:language>eng</dc:language><dc:relation>Mode of access: World Wide Web.</dc:relation><dc:relation>System requirements: AT&amp;T DjVu browser plug-in needed to view images of documents.</dc:relation><dc:rights>http://rightsstatements.org/vocab/NoC-US/1.0/</dc:rights><dc:source>Manuscript held by the Hargrett Rare Book and Manuscript Library, The University of Georgia Libraries, Telamon Cuyler, box 48, folder 15, document 03.</dc:source><dc:subject>Indians of North America--Claims against</dc:subject><dc:subject>Toll roads</dc:subject><dc:subject>United States.
