Letters Creek Indians--Treaties Boundaries Georgia Page: [1] Rocky Spring Encampment 3 Miles from Rock Landing 15th July 1791 Sir By dispatches lately come to hand from the Honorable the Secretary of the War department, I am instructed to notify to your Excellency that the Federal Troops will be assembled at this place for the purpose of being in readiness for running and marking the Indian Boundary line next October mentioned in the Treaty of the Creeks. I shall order the lower Companies to repair to this place immediately. After notifying the time and purpose of the Troops being assembled I am directed to "request Your Excellency if you shall Judge proper to notify three of the citizens of Georgia to attend the running of the line according to the treaty" I am also directed to transmit the same information to Mr. McGilvery and request him to send the Three Creek Chiefs to attend the running of the line as stipulated by the Treaty Your favor of 28th June came safe to hand since which I have heard nothing from the nation I have the honor to be with much esteem Sir your most obedient Servant [Signed] Richd [Richard] Call Governor Telfair Page: [2] Letter of the 15th July from Major Call Ordered to be filed 22nd July 1791 Boundary Indian Lines 15 Jly [July] 1791
