The talk indicates the acceptance of the peaceful talks sent by President George Washington, Henry Knox (Secretary of War), and Creek leader Alexander McGillivray. The White Bird King further expresses his rejection of the influence of William A. Bowles, whose troublesome talks had been introduced among the Creeks. The talk is dated November 8, 1791 at Rock Landing (Baldwin County, Georgia).</dc:description><dc:description>Digital image of original manuscript, scanned by the University of Georgia Libraries in 2000, as part of GALILEO, funded in part by a grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services.</dc:description><dc:format>text/html</dc:format><dc:format>image/jpeg</dc:format><dc:identifier>tcc215</dc:identifier><dc:language>eng</dc:language><dc:relation>Mode of access: World Wide Web.</dc:relation><dc:relation>System requirements: AT&amp;T DjVu browser plug-in needed to view images of documents.</dc:relation><dc:rights>http://rightsstatements.org/vocab/NoC-US/1.0/</dc:rights><dc:source>Manuscript held by the Hargrett Rare Book and Manuscript Library, The University of Georgia Libraries, Telamon Cuyler, box 78, folder 12, document 14.</dc:source><dc:subject>Creek Indians--Government relations</dc:subject><dc:title>Talk from the White Bird King in answer to [Joseph] Ellicot[t]'s talk delivered 1791 Nov. 8 at Rock Landing [Baldwin County, Georgia]</dc:title><dc:type>Text</dc:type></oai_dc:dc>
