Davenport says the Chickasaws express an interest in peace and a concern about the Spanish plan to stop trade with Indians who remain sympathetic to the British. Davenport reports that some Creeks, including Creek leader Alexander McGillivray, have sent talks to the Chickasaws in an attempt to rouse them against the whites.
