Lang relates everything he knows relative to troop movements and military plans among the Americans in Georgia, South Carolina, and Cumberland in preparation for a march against St. Augustine. Among other morsels of information, Lang tells his captors that the American troops intended to march in the direction of Indian country and then attack St. Augustine from the west.</dc:description><dc:description>Digital image and encoded transcription of an original manuscript, scanned, transcribed and encoded by the Digital Library of Georgia in 2001, as part of GALILEO, funded in part by a grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services.</dc:description><dc:format>text/html</dc:format><dc:format>image/jpeg</dc:format><dc:identifier>krc167</dc:identifier><dc:language>eng</dc:language><dc:relation>Mode of access: World Wide Web.</dc:relation><dc:relation>System requirements: AT&amp;T DjVu browser plug-in needed to view images of documents.</dc:relation><dc:rights>http://rightsstatements.org/vocab/NoC-US/1.0/</dc:rights><dc:source>Manuscript held by the Hargrett Rare Book and Manuscript Library, The University of Georgia Libraries, Keith Read, box 29, folder 39, document 01.</dc:source><dc:subject>United States--Foreign relations--1789-1797</dc:subject><dc:subject>Prisoners of war</dc:subject><dc:subject>Florida--History--Spanish colony, 1784-1821</dc:subject><dc:title>Extract of a translation of the judicial ratification, by affidavit, of Mr. Richard Lang, of the verbal declaration he made to his Lordship, 1794 Jan. 21, St. Augustine, Florida</dc:title><dc:type>Text</dc:type></oai_dc:dc>
