Page: [1] Augusta 21 July 1790 Dear Sir Yours of the 12th instant with its enclosures, by Mr Cumming, I have received and shall take the earliest opportunity of transacting the business with Majr [Major] Porter, as soon as I receive the Money shall advise you thereof. I have enclosed you a proclamation by which you will observe that, some ill disposed persons have been committing outrages on the Indians, what the consequences [document folded: will be ] time only can determine, it certainly becomes the duty of every well wisher to this Country to discontenance [discountenance] such diabolical practices- and to be active Page: [2] in bringing the offenders to justice.
