He transmits a copy (no longer attached) of the proceedings of the Senate regarding the late treaty with the Creeks (ostensibly the Treaty of New York, August 7, 1790). Gunn also mentions an unsuccessful expedition against unnamed Indians in the North (probably against Miami leader Little Turtle and his confederacy) and adds that this has made it necessary to rethink frontier protection. He suggests that there will be an increase in military expenditures before the Senate adjourns, and he assures the governor that troops will be sent to protect frontier inhabitants if the Creeks are "troublesome".</dc:description><dc:description>Digital image and encoded transcription of an original manuscript, scanned, transcribed and encoded by the Digital Library of Georgia in 2001, as part of GALILEO, funded in part by a grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services.</dc:description><dc:format>text/html</dc:format><dc:format>image/jpeg</dc:format><dc:identifier>krc091</dc:identifier><dc:language>eng</dc:language><dc:relation>Mode of access: World Wide Web.</dc:relation><dc:relation>System requirements: AT&amp;T DjVu browser plug-in needed to view images of documents.</dc:relation><dc:rights>http://rightsstatements.org/vocab/NoC-US/1.0/</dc:rights><dc:source>Manuscript held by the Hargrett Rare Book and Manuscript Library, The University of Georgia Libraries, Keith Read, box 11, folder 08, document 01.</dc:source><dc:subject>Creek Indians--Treaties</dc:subject><dc:subject>Georgia.
