Calhoun, Secretary of War (1817-1825), to former Creek Indian agent David B. Mitchell, dated March 19, 1822. Calhoun informs Mitchell that the accounts recently submitted for the expense of unnamed articles delivered to the Cusseta chiefs in preparation for the Treaty of Indian Springs (signed January 8, 1821) have been approved and the requested amount will be remitted.
