Mary Musgrove or Coosaponakeesa). Also discussed is the Indians' right to bequeath such lands to Mary Bosomworth. The document refers to the three islands as particularly valuable to the Crown, since they are considered arable and are ideally situated for use as secure ports of trade between the mainland colonies and the West Indies.</dc:description><dc:description>Digital image and encoded transcription of an original manuscript, scanned, transcribed and encoded by the Digital Library of Georgia in 2001, as part of GALILEO, funded in part by a grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services.</dc:description><dc:format>text/html</dc:format><dc:format>image/jpeg</dc:format><dc:identifier>krc050</dc:identifier><dc:language>eng</dc:language><dc:relation>Mode of access: World Wide Web.</dc:relation><dc:relation>System requirements: AT&amp;T DjVu browser plug-in needed to view images of documents.</dc:relation><dc:rights>http://rightsstatements.org/vocab/NoC-US/1.0/</dc:rights><dc:source>Manuscript held by the Hargrett Rare Book and Manuscript Library, The University of Georgia Libraries, Keith Read, box 02, folder 77, document 01.</dc:source><dc:subject>Creek Indians--Treaties</dc:subject><dc:subject>Indian land transfers</dc:subject><dc:subject>Creek Indians--Legal status, laws, etc.</dc:subject><dc:subject>Musgrove, Mary, 1700-1765</dc:subject><dc:subject>Bosomworth, Thomas</dc:subject><dc:title>[Partial legal statement concerning Great Britain's treaties with the Creek Indians and Thomas Bosomworth's purchase of Creek lands]</dc:title><dc:type>Text</dc:type></oai_dc:dc>
