The letter states that orders were immediately given to protect the settlers in the area and he calls upon the recipient of this letter to help protect the inhabitants of these areas from more troubles with the Creeks. It is alleged that 4 or 5 murders were recently committed by the Creeks and that Colonel (Elijah?) Clarke and his men pursued the suspected Indians and killed two of them. The letter suggests conferring with Colonel Clements about raising one or two more companies to fight the Creeks.
