Clingman to William H. Thomas, an attorney of the Cherokees of North Carolina. Clingman encloses a letter from James Guthrie, the Secretary of the Treasury, and asks Thomas to read it and pass it along to disbursing agent James W. Terrell. In his letter, Guthrie announces that he has received the roll of the North Carolina Cherokees from the Second Auditor and that 4,409 dollars and 13 cents has been paid to the Cherokees by James Terrell.
