Patterson Hospital. It was established by Doctor Frederick Davis Patterson in January of 1915. In 1924 when the hospital needed to expand again, this structure was purchased. The building had been used as Bethel Male College (may have also been known as Bethel Military Academy) until 1904 when the city bought it for use as a public school.
