Mr. McWhorter (1878-1963) was from Lexington in Oglethorpe County. He had served in the Georgia House of Representatives and was a past President of the Georgia Senate. Mr. Evans, born in 1906, was from Thomson in McDuffie County. He had served in the Georgia Senate and was a past Speaker of the House of Representatives.
