REmains of Keith's Bridge which connected Hall and Forsyth counties over the Chattahoochee River. The bridge had been constructed in 1903. It caught fire in March 1953 and was completely destroyed. The bridge was located in an area which would later be flooded by Lake Lanier. The lake was created by the construction of Buford Dam in Forsyth County. The dam was completed by the U.S. Corps of Engineers in 1957.</dc:description><dc:format>image/jpeg</dc:format><dc:rights>http://rightsstatements.org/vocab/NoC-CR/1.0/</dc:rights><dc:subject>Bridges--Georgia--Hall County</dc:subject><dc:subject>Transportation--Georgia--Hall County</dc:subject><dc:title>[Photograph of the remains of Keith's Bridge, Hall County, Georgia, 1953]</dc:title><dc:type>StillImage</dc:type></oai_dc:dc>
