Firemen fighting the blaze which destroyed the First Baptist Church located at the corner of Green and Washington Streets. The church building had been dedicated in 1909. The damage was said to have been put at $600,000. After the fire, Warren Castle purchased the columns and let Brevard Williams put them in his pasture located north of Dillard, Ga. in Rabun County.
