Calhoun Watch Shop located at the corner of Court and North Wall Streets has been in business since 1954. The shop is located in what is known as the Foster Building because it was built in 1877 by Thomas A. Foster. Foster and James Monroe Harlan operated Foster and Harlan, an early department store in it. In 1897 the building was remodeled. Later J. A Strain & Co., a men's store, was located in it.
