Governor Jimmy Carter signing House Resolution 573 which designated 12 historical plates commissioned by the Transylvania Club of Sandersville to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the founding of Georgia as the official Georgia Historical Plates. One member, Louise Irwin, in 1932 designed a collection of 12 Georgia Historic Plates for the 1933 Georgia Bicentiennel.
