Fender Hall, a dormitory on the campus of what used to be Norman College. This educational institution was founded in 1900 as Norman Institute, a high school unit, by Jeremiah Bryant Norman, Jr. From the first it was connected with Baptist associations in the area. By 1920 it expanded into a college program. In 1928 the name was changed to Norman Junior College, and in 1951 it became known as Norman College. When the college closed in 1971, assets and liabilities went to the Georgia Baptist Convention.
