Thalian Hall built by Thalian Society, a literary society, at Oglethorpe University, located about 2 miles south of Milledgeville. It was built in late 1850s by Joseph Lane. It was used as a dormitory; Sidney Lanier occupied a room. During the Civil War, it housed wounded Confederate soldiers.
