The porch, which spans the front of the house, is a later addition, supported by six Ionic columns. One or two of the original columns, which were carved from solid pine, were sawed in half and used in the door frame. Fanlights decorate the Palladian entrance and window above. The roof is a low sloped one with two interior stuccoed chimneys. The old kitchen, a small Greek Revival structure of granite blocks, still stands in the backyard.
