There were several more alterations to the structure. In 1940, Lights were erected on the field level. In 1949 seating was added to the South Stands bringing stadium capacity to 36,000. Seating was again increased in 1964 when another 7,621 seats were added to the end zone. In 1967, the addition of a second deck of seating greatly increased the stadium's capacity. In 1981 and 1991, the east and west ends of the stadiums were enclosed and in 1982, lighting was improved.
