The President's Home is a two-story wood frame house consisting of a central portion flanked by wings, with dormers on the back of the house. A portico with entablature supported by six Ionic columns graces the central portion. The front porch as a decorative iron railing and the entrance has sidelights. The house became the property of Berry Schools (Berry College) at Wright's death in 1956 and redecoration was directed by Annabel Hodges Bertrand, the wife of Berry's fifth president, John R. Bertrand. President Gloria Shatto's family moved into the home in 1979 when Dr. Bertrand retired. Dr. Shatto retired in 1998, and Berry's seventh president, Dr. Scott Colley, resides there with his wife, Dr. Christine Colley. For more information see Dickey, Ouida W., ed.
