A balcony with geometrical railing extends across the front of the main building inside a two-story portico with entablature and pediment supported by six Doric columns. The columns are paired at each end of the portico resulting in three bays, rather than five. Battlements are effected along the roofs of the wings in alternating sunken panels. The museum was dedicated October 7, 1972. Funding for the building came primarily from Mary Reynolds Morton of Bronxville, New York. Samuel Inman Cooper designed the building to fit in with the other Greek Revival architecture at Berry College. For more information see Dickey, Ouida W., ed.
