The entrance porch has two sets of fluted columns, a sheaf-of-wheat railing, and a center ceiling medallion. The house was built using the central hall plan. Owens lists date as 1835; however, an original gutter on the house was dated 1839, so HABS estimates the completion date as sometime before 1849. Owens calls this house "Gothic Revival."
