Decorative S-shaped brackets support the cornice. The balcony above the entrance is enclosed by a simple balustrade. The entrance features sidelights and transom. Allen J. Jones bought this land from John H. Jones in 1832. Ownership seems to have been in the Jones family for over a century. Related names are Grant Jones, Irma Reid Bowen and her husband H. H. Brandenberg; Minnie (Mrs. Henry) Leverett, and Emmie Cliatt Smith. The house was sold in 1946 to Webster J. Bassett, and in 1973 to Lee Nash, Sr. For more information see Pinkston, Regina P.
