Slender paired columns with brackets support the hipped roof of the porch. The entrance features sidelights and transom. Built in 1788 in Oglethorpe County, the house was moved to Athens in 1840. A wing was added later. The house was moved from Athens' Historic Downtown District to the Dearing Street location in 1856. After Rucker, the house was owned by Reverend and Mrs. Dawson Teague.
