In addition to administering scholarship and grant programs, including Georgia's HOPE Scholarship, GSFC has served as the State's Higher Education Lender, providing Federal education loans at competitive rates. Now we've designed our BEST loan benefits package ever to save you money- Georgia Advantage+ ! 
Save Money with Georgia Advantage+ Zero Fee Stafford Loan 
You'll start saving money right away by using GSFC as your lender. With GSFC, you'll pay no origination fees on your loans. This fee reduction applies to all Federal Stafford Loans for students that are disbursed on or after March 1, 2006, for which GSFC is the lender. 
Stafford savings: If you borrow $5,000 with 
our 0% origination fee, you will save $150.00 over the 3% standard origination fee- money that you can use for your college expenses immediately. 
 
More savings: In addition to the low Georgia 
Advantage+ loan origination fee, GSFC will pay the 1% Federal Default fee charged on Stafford loans. You pay nothing to have your loan guaranteed! 
Repayment savings: Stafford Borrowers who 
make 33 consecutive on-time payments will receive a 3.3% current principle reduction. Borrowers must use auto-debit to receive this reduction. The reduction will be applied as a payment to the borrower's account.
