Oconee River Soil and Water Conservation District 
Annual Report FY 2013 
The supervisors of the Oconee River Soil and Water Conservation District met a total of 10 times in regular session during the fiscal year. David Jackson and Dewey Johnson split the year as Chairman, Bernard Garrett served as Vice-Chair, and Janice Marable served as Treasurer. Ray Rozier and Doug Garrison were sworn in as new supervisors. 
The District held their Annual Affiliate Member Meeting on September 20, 2012 at the Oconee County Civic Center in Watkinsville, GA. A catered meal was served and approximately 85 people were in attendance. Robert Amos was awarded Conservationist of the Year. 
The District ratified 155 erosion sedimentation and pollution control plans. 
The District sponsored 5 students to the Natural Resources Conservation Workshop in Tifton Georgia. 
The District ordered and distributed Soil Stewardship material to local schools and libraries. 
The District sponsored a poster and photo contest. 
The District submitted 1 application for Partners for Fish and Wildlife Projects.
