The supervisors of the Oconee River Soil and Water Conservation District met a total of 10 times in regular session during the fiscal year. . 
The District held their Annual Affiliate Member Meeting on September 27, 2011 at the Winder Civic Center in Winder, Georgia. A catered meal was served and approximately 85 people were in attendance. Farm Family of the Year Award was presented to Bouchard Farms. 
The District won 2011 District of the Year at the GACDS Annual Meeting. 
The District approved 47 erosion sedimentation and pollution control plans. 
The District sponsored ten (10) students to the Natural Resources Conservation Workshop in Tifton Georgia. 
The District carried out a Targeted Outreach Grant from NRCS in the amount of$17, 180. 
The District ordered and distributed Soil Stewardship material to local restaurants, schools and libraries. 
The District supported rehabilitation work to two watershed structures in the region, Sandy Creek #15 in Jackson County and Marbury Creek #22 in Barrow County. 
The District sponsored a poster and photo contest. 
The District sponsored a video at Supervisor Training on 8/19/2011. 
The District signed a new flood elevation easement for Barber Creek Watershed Dam #6. 
 
 The District supported the Northeast Georgia Tree Planning Program. 
The District donated a Chateau Elan Package for the GACDS Annual meeting on l/6 - l/8/20 12 
The District donated to the Blue Ridge Mountain SWCD to help bus transport of students to the Natural Resource Conservation Workshop. 
The District assisted in sponsorship of Envirothon in Athens.
