This equates to 8,400 new jobs added each year. Employment in downtown Atlanta is expected to expand as the city continues to upgrade their venues and infrastructure. The benefits of new construction, easier accessibility and centralized location, places the area in a more competitive position to draw more major events. The Atlanta Fulton County area is the principal commercial, financial, transportation, and manufacturing center for the southeastern United States.
