Georgia Board for Physician Workforce 2015 Dentist Workforce Report Characteristics of Licensed Dentists Practicing in Georgia, 2015 The 2015 data shows there were 4,454 dentists actively practicing in the state of Georgia. The Occupational Outlook Handbook projections show the dentist occupation is expected to grow 18% in the U.S. by 2024 due to an aging population, popularity of cosmetic dental services and an increase in access to healthcare.
