Two Weekends . . . Eight Locations . . . One Reason . . . Share your hunting harvest with the hungry! Currently, one in five Georgians suffer from hunger. Protein is a much needed, but rarely donated, item to food banks. The Hunters for the Hungry (HFTH) program has helped provide nutritious protein to thousands of hungry Georgians over the past eight years. Hunters donate harvested deer during two weekends in November. The deer are processed into ground venison and then distributed to food banks statewide by the Atlanta Community Food Bank. More than 56,500 pounds of venison has been donated by Georgia hunters in since 1993. HOW CAN YOU PARTICIPATE? Drop off a field-dressed deer at one of the eight designated collection sites listed below between 9 a.m. and 8 p.m. during the collection weekends. Sites are marked by blaze orange HFTH banners.
