Children grow rapidly, and their bodies need good food to help them grow.
Don't spoil their appetites by giving them snacks just before mealtime. Please give snacks about two hours before the next meal.
Try to make snacks fun. Cut food into small pieces so children can eat it with their fingers. Give your children snacks to grow on - serve:
Fruit juice or fruits like:
apples and applesauce orange sections bananas cantaloupe pears raisins prunes other dried fruits strawberries watermelon peaches Raw vegetables:
carrot sticks celery squash tomato cucumber broccoli cauliflower

Cheese,meatcubes,peanutbutle~

High-iron cereals
Saltine and graham crackers
Popcorn

Kids get hooked on junk food for a lot of reasons. They see it on TV. They like the taste. Their friends eat it. It's given to them as a reward.
