Job tax credits range from $6,250-$20,000 per job over five years, depending on the location of the operation. In certain communities, these tax credits may also be applied to payroll withholding. An additional $1,250 tax credit is offered to companies that claim the job tax credit and increase their imports/exports through Georgia's deepwater ports. Georgia's pro-business environment offers tax exemptions on production machinery, inventory, and, in some instances, material handling equipment.
