Now in its 20th year, Hands On Atlanta Day has grown to be one of the largest days of volunteerism in the country, mobilizing more than 10,000 volunteers in service projects throughout metro Atlanta. The Park's Holiday 
 
in Lights display, an annual Hands On Atlanta Day project, is also an Atlanta 
 
tradition. Different and unique every year, Holiday in Lights runs through 
 
Jan. 4.

With northern neighbors including the Georgia Aquarium, World of Coca-Cola and the future Center for Civil and Human Rights, the Park's north entrance has taken on new prominence. And we think the brand new pedestrian entrance is worthy of an Atlanta Downtown Design Excellence Award in the community category! The award winners are determined by a panel of judges including design, planning and development experts, and YOU. Voting ends Oct. 19 and
