I grew up in Peachtree City, but we moved back and forth from here to various parts of Ohio . By the time I graduated from high school in the PTC , I'd been to 12 different schools. I stayed in Georgia for college, then interned in GPB's newsroom the summer of 2007 , then remained on as a free-lance reporter. I joined the staff in January a year ago to produce and report for Morning Edition and Georgia Gazette. Melissa Stiers experience: What is the most interesting story you've worked on lately? Election night at the Democratic Party headquarters, hands down . I've never seen such a varied group of line-dancers. experience: What do you do for fun when you are not producing content for GPB? Smother my daughter with all the Iovin' I've got, dance flamenco , and push words around on a page to find a poem. experience: What do you like most about being a part of public broadcasting? I love the opportunity to kindle dialogue in an ever-expanding, diverse community.
