February 2012 GACOuLLpEdGaEte411 PROVIDING GAcollege411 STATISTICS, SIGNIFICANT RECENT DEVELOPMENTS, AND UPCOMING EVENTS. GSFC/XAP School Visits At Georgia Student Finance Commission, we are committed to providing Georgians with the tools necessary to achieve their goals of post-secondary education. However, recently we heard of inconsistencies with the reliability of the GAcollege411 website. Understanding that this website needs to be operating at a full-functioning capacity, we took your suggestions, concerns and complaints to XAP, the website vendor. In late 2011, XAP agreed to hire consultants to review problems with the dependability and functionality of GAcollege411. Throughout December and January, we had consultants in more than 20 schools actually observing in computer labs while students were working on the website. These consultants worked aggressively to identify problems and inconsistencies with the website and recommendations have been made. We are now in the process of working with XAP to develop an action plan to address and resolve the identified problems. We are committed to providing a website that operates effectively and consistently for you and your students. Thank for continuing to be patient with us as we strive for excellence!
