GAcollege411 Highlights February 2008 Electronic Admissions Transcripts: Since launching electronic transcript submission in late Fall, there have been over 4,800 admissions transcripts sent from high schools to colleges and universities throughout the state. This number represents 127 counties and districts throughout the state. Transcript news: The HOPE progress report function is now fully accessible on the GAcollege411 website. Once uploaded, underclassmen are able to access their HOPE progress GPA through their My 411 accounts. These reports will only be available for a limited time each year, and will only be available if the transcripts for the underclassmen are uploaded for calculation. Seniors are still able to access their HOPE GPA reports as well. Students should sign into their accounts and access `My Financial Aid' in their accounts. Printable directions can be found under Latest News and Announcements. Additional trainings scheduled: There are four more "hands on" trainings scheduled throughout the state to assist high schools with HOPE and admissions transcript exchange. They have been scheduled for April 15th (Macon State College), April 17th (Armstrong Atlantic State University), April 21st (Kennesaw State University), and April 22nd (Columbus State University). Attendees will receive hands on training and must have account access to STARS and the GAcollege411.org Counselor Center to attend. HOPE Preliminary Calculations: The HOPE preliminary calculation deadline has passed. Of the 100,816 transcripts that have been uploaded, 81,635 or 81% have been verified. This will be a tremendous help to the Financial Aid Offices around the state, as well as the parents of graduating seniors. Enhancements to the GAcollege411 website USG Entrance Requirements: Thank you to Sarah Wenham and USG for the hard work that went into updating the University System's entrance requirement pages. These new pages include information on the new HS graduation requirements and should be live some time in March. HOPE Progress Reports: Many 9th, 10th, and 11th graders may now view their HOPE progress on the GAcollege411 website. Students and parents can now have more accurate information on whether the students are on track to receive HOPE. Remember, this is just a progress report and not a HOPE GPA. Information on how to view HOPE Progress Reports can be found in our Documentation Library. "Ask an Expert" emails of the month: "I want to attend two different colleges at the same time.
