Heat stroke is a serious illness characterized by a body temperature greater than 105 degrees. Symptoms may include dry red skin, convulsions, disorientation, delirium and coma. Onset of heat stroke can be rapid; serious symptoms can occur within minutes. Treatment involves the rapid lowering of body temperature using a cool bath or wet towels. Free Online Courses Available from Lynda.com National HIV Testing Day National HIV Testing Day (NHTD) is always observed on June 27. The annual theme remains the same for an important public health message: Take the Test. Take Control. Getting an HIV test is the only way to know if you have HIV and is a critical part of stopping the spread of the virus. The annual theme for National HIV Testing Day each year focuses on taking the HIV test to take control of your overall health status. The Georgia Department of Public Health (DPH), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), 18 health districts, community based organizations (CBOs) and others are joining forces on NHTD to encourage Georgians to get tested and know their health status to stop the spread of HIV.
