Find a Park Reservations Events Activities July 2021 Celebrate July 4th in Georgia's Great Outdoors From cookouts to campouts, we'll help you celebrate Independence Day while enjoying Georgia's beautiful scenery. You'll find sparkling lakes to keep you cool, shaded picnic spots, and events such as old-timey games and musket firings. Remember that fireworks and sparklers are not allowed inside state parks or historic sites, but many parks are near community fireworks. Cabins and campsites are always popular during the July 4th holiday, so make reservations now for next year's celebrations. Top 5 Swimming Holes Nothing beats jumping in cool water on a hot day. Grab your beach towel and sunscreen, pack a picnic lunch, and check out the five best swimming spots in Georgia's State Parks.
