National Pollinator Week Some people only think of allergies when they hear the word pollen, but the services provided by native pollinators contribute to the productivity of crops, as well as to the survival and reproduction of many native plants. During National Pollinator Week, June 19-25, educate others about pollinators' place and purpose in the ecosystem and the services that they provide for the environment.
#100HoursUnplugged: A Challenge to Families to Go Offline and Outside Together This summer, commit to going outdoors and offline with your family for at least four days. The goal of the #100HoursUnplugged Challenge is to get as many people as possible to commit to spending 100 hours unplugged, outdoors, and together as a family this summer.

Volunteers Needed to Review Sea Lion Photos Helping save endangered Steller sea lions is now as easy as looking at a picture -- well, half a million of them to be precise. Researchers at NOAA Fisheries' Alaska Fisheries Science Center hope that everyday people will help them review and classify about 500,000 photos of Steller sea lion sites, taken on some of the most remote islands in the world.

Volunteers Needed for Monarch Citizen Science Project Monarch Watch is seeking the immediate assistance of hundreds of monarch enthusiasts / citizen scientists to collect observations of monarchs in their area during the spring and fall. This project will assemble quantitative data on monarch numbers at critical times during the breeding season. The data from these observations will be used to assess their value in predicting trends in the population.
