Speaker Richardson appoints a House Ad Valorem Inventory Tax Study Committee 
Atlanta Today House Speaker Glenn Richardson (R-Hiram) appointed State Representatives Chuck Scheid (R-Woodstock), Doug Holt ( R-Social Circle), and Jill Chambers (R-Atlanta) to the House Ad Valorem Inventory Tax Study Committee.

The committee will study the conditions, needs, issues, and problems regarding the imposition and collection of such taxes have acted as a disincentive to the location or relocation of business facilities in border communities due to a lack of such taxes in states which border Georgia. The committee was created by the passage of House Resolution 486. The study committee will end its meeting on December 1, 2005.
