Speaker Richardson appoints State Representatives Jim Cole, Tom McCall, Vance Smith, and Johnny Floyd to the Joint "Future of Georgia Forestry" Study Committee 
AtlantaSpeaker of the House Glenn Richardson (R-Hiram) appointed State Representatives Jim Cole (R-Forsyth), Tom McCall (R-Elberton), Vance Smith ( R-Pine Mountain), and Johnny Floyd (D-Cordele) to the Joint "Future of Georgia Forestry" Study Committee.

The committee shall undertake a study of the conditions, needs, issues, challenges, and opportunities relating to the need to substantially improve the economic performance, research and development, and marketing of the wide range of products and other benefits derived from Georgias forests, and create to prepare a comprehensive plan for Georgia to sustain and expand the benefits of Georgias forest lands and forest products industries.
