Jamieson Helps Secure Grant for Abstinence Education 
 
Atlanta - Representative Jeanette Jamieson, (D-Toccoa), announces a grant has been awarded in the amount of $68,114 to the Boys and Girls Club of Northeast Georgia, Inc. for their Abstinence Education Program. The grant is from the Children and Youth Coordinating Council (CYCC). 
"The money will go to promote abstinence for young people in Northeast Georgia," said Rep. Jamieson. "We must do all we can to ensure children go through their teen years healthy and happy. I'd like to thank everyone involved in securing this much needed funding. This will be money well spent." 
As well as chairing the House State Planning and Community Affairs Committee, Rep. Jamieson serves on the Appropriations, Ways & Means and Education committees.
