Hugh Broome, DDonalsonville, have helped secure $625,000 for the design and construction of a new marina at Lake Seminole. The funding for the new marina is in the House's 2004 amended budget, which is a revised spending plan for the current fiscal year that ends June 30th. "We've needed a new marina on Lake Seminole and I would like to thank House Speaker Coleman for his support as well as other members of the legislature," said Rep. Sholar. "I will do all I can to make sure this funding stays in tact through the legislative process." According to Rep. Broome, "Boaters could soon enjoy a wonderful new marina and the Speaker of the House has helped us tremendously with our efforts to guarantee this funding. Rep. Sholar and I will do all we can to make sure we have this approved during the session." The 2004 amended budget has passed the House and is in the Senate awaiting approval. Rep. Sholar is Vice-Chair of the State Institutions and Property Committee and serves on the State Planning and Community Affairs and Ways and means committees. Rep.
