The sub-committee will meet on Tuesday, February 17, at 2:00 p.m. in room 406 of Legislative Office Building at 18 Capitol Square, Atlanta. HB 357 seeks to amend existing law dealing with notification requirements for suspicious, or unusual deaths. The measure would require all deaths which occur in a compensated care facility such as nursing homes, or deaths of persons who have recently left a nursing home, to be immediately reported to the coroner or county medical examiner.
