The group, which is composed of 15 other members from various areas of state government, will coordinate with federal and international participants for next year's summit June 8-10 on Sea Island and work towards enhancing the long-term economic impact of the event on Georgia. According to the Governor's Office, sub-groups will be formed and chaired by the group members to focus on issues such as security, environmental impact, educational opportunities, economic expansion and international public relations. "I am thrilled to be a part of this historic summit that will attract the world's attention," said Parrish. "Georgia must go above and beyond the call of duty in hosting this event to leave a lasting impression on the international community. There could be many economic benefits down the road if this is done in the right way. I would like to thank the Governor for appointing me to the post." The event, that attracts journalist from all over the world, is an economic summit of leaders from the United States, Great Britain, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Russia and Japan. It is expected to have a $300 to $500 million impact on Georgia. Besides being chairman of the House Economic Development and Tourism Committee, Rep.
