The sub-committee will meet on Tuesday, December 30, 2003, at 11:00 a.m. in the Municipal Building at 530 Green Street in Augusta, Georgia. HB 357 seeks to amend existing law dealing with notification requirements for suspicious, or unusual deaths. The measure would require all deaths which occur in a compensated care facility such as nursing homes, or deaths of persons who have recently left a nursing home, to be immediately reported to the coroner or county medical examiner. The bill's author, House Human Relations and Aging Committee Chairman Henry Howard (DAugusta), will present his bill before the sub-committee and answer any committee member questions. Rep.
